Our neurodivergent consulting and support services are our signature offering.

Through our "Four C" core pillars: collaboration, connection, curiosity and conviction, we help you and your child access individualized support, assessment recommendations and custom road mapping services for suspected neurodivergent diagnosis and learning disabilities.

If your child has already received a diagnosis, we will review their psychoeducational assessment and school Individualized Education Plan (or help you to prepare for your first IEP meeting), help with school designation recommendations, as well as assist with the creation of a customized support team.

We help you access accurate and comprehensive assessments with vetted providers, create a robust support network pre and post diagnosis and help with school and medical systems support and advocacy.

All initial consulting bundles are team based, and will be reviewed by both of our founders, Jenny and Daviana.

IEP Support Services

Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), per the British Columbia Ministry of Education, are “a written educational plan for special education students designed to describe programming modifications and/or adaptations and to indicate specific services provided”. Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), per the British Columbia Ministry of Education, are “a written educational plan for special education students designed to describe programming modifications and/or adaptations and to indicate specific services provided”. To us, they are so much more.

IEPs are a binding contract that indicates accommodations and services mutually agreed upon by the caregiver and school. The importance of this document cannot be over-emphasized. This is the roadmap your school has committed to help your child succeed. They are often written with vague language and treated as a quick checkbox in the school year. THEY ARE NOT. This document is everything when it comes to advocacy for your child.

Our IEP support services, through 1:1 consultation, will help you prepare for your next (or first) IEP meeting. We empower you with knowledge of your rights and the skills to ensure your child’s IEP is a strong advocacy voice for their growth within the school system. We can also virtually attend your IEP meeting to support you through the process.

Co-founder of Navigating Neurodivergence

A lifelong helper, Jenny brings a wealth of personal and professional experience to her role. Jenny has over 18 years of experience working in healthcare as a Registered Nurse within the acute care system and as a faculty member within the post-secondary education system. Her most significant accomplishments come from the “school of life.” Tapping into her neurodivergence traits, such as hyperfocus, the ability to learn and process information quickly and an unparalleled level of tenacity, make Jenny the ultimate ally for your family as you navigate your neurodivergence journey.

Jenny has three daughters, one of which has a dual autism and ADHD diagnosis. After a year of “trusting the process” within the healthcare and education systems, it became clear that they were not equipped to support or even diagnose her daughter. This personal journey, coupled with her professional experience, led her to take action. Seven months later, her daughter had an ADHD and autism diagnosis and a whole team to support her. The discovery process of seeking an accurate diagnosis for her daughter led her to get her own ADHD diagnosis. This personal experience has given her a unique understanding and empathy for the challenges faced by neurodivergent individuals and their families.

Her tenacity, creativity, and ability to think outside the box allowed her daughter to access specialized assessments, diagnoses, and support on an impressive timeline. Jenny’s motto, “Life is a team sport,” is not just a phrase, but a guiding principle that she embodies in her role as co-founder of Navigating Neurodivergence and in her daily life. This belief in the power of teamwork to overcome challenges inspires and motivates others in their own neurodivergence journeys.
